World Wide Web (Keywords: web, spiders, websites)
The world wide web is my world now. i live in it and I breathe websites the way other people inhale their own narcissism. Without the web I would probably be doing nothing. I am doing nothing now. At least nothing that can be shown to be real. A website is not real and you do not go around bragging about it.The only satisfaction is when you check your stats and find people have found you.

This is very gratifying not just to myself but to others as well, others who are just like me, spending most of their time on the web. The web is my home and my companions are spiders.

Come to Ching's World which is Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu City, Dumaguete, all of which are in the Philippines. Visit Ching's World.   Check out Jonathan Leger's Search Engine Myths Exposed

Websites (Keywords: swazoo, seaside, commanche, virtual host)
i need a new website. It feels as though I am doing nothing when I am not making a website. Never mind that these websites do nothing at all but take up space, still I need them to tbe there. When i make a website it feels as though I am extending my thoughts, my mind, my life to where they may go. These are not forever but they function as though they are always there and they pretend to be there forever though I know this is not so. After a year, the clamor for their extension and i must keep them alive by paying for their hosting and domain extension. Then the fly proud in the hemisphere and proclaim their claim on this space. It takes efforr to make a website and it is gratifying when they do come to their own.

deja vu, each, eager, ear, earache, eardrum, earhart, earl, earlobe, early, earmark, earn, earnest, earnings, earphone, earring, earshot, earth, earthen, earthenware, earthling, earthmover, earthquake, earthshaking, earthworm, ease, easel, east, easter, eastern, easy, eat, eatery, eau, eaves, eavesdrop, ebb, ebony, ebook, ebullience, eccentric, ecclesiastical, echelon, echo, eclair, email

Whatever it may be that I will be doing later on, I will always feel happy that a website has been made. I am thinking of switching to Swazoo. There seems to be a lot more going for it than Commache. For one thing, there is support for virtual sites which commanche does not have. If I do get swazoo going then I would definitely have to move to Seaside 2.9 which has Swazoo with it. This means that i will have to read up on Monticello. I am so lazy. I would not do a thing unless it was absolutely necessary. It seems to me that time has caught up with me and I need to catch up or become obsolete.

World Wide Web (Keywords: net, internet, cagayan de oro,)
The Internet is a vast resource which can be accessed very quickly with a few keystrokes. Where before one had to go to a library or consult an encyclopedia which is truly a laborious process, one only has to open a browser and the most important websites are opened to you for your research. One could also create websites on favorite topics or even cities like Cagayan de Oro City which is my own personal favorite. Cagayan de Oro City was really just a sketch and did not really figure into my priorities until very recently. The reason for this sudden interest in Cagayan de Oro City is very simple, I went back to this city several times since last year. I spent a lot ot time in Cagayan de Oro City before I moved to where I am now, something which would surely make a person nostalgic for someplace where friends and family are.

Check out these sites: Philippine Travel, Activists Reunion, Dr. Raoul G. de la Serna, Moira Trinity, Thoughts on the Ideal World, Dumaguete

I was in Cagayan de Oro City when I deployed Ching's World on the net. I had hoped that my friends in Cagayan de Oro City would embrace Ching's World wholeheartedly which did not happen so I had to go back to the drawing board and try to create something else that would send Ching's World up to where I would like it be be. It is not easy but I am sure that someday soon I will have what I want: Ching's World on top and  Cagayan de Oro City will soon follow.

Internet (Keywords: internet, world wide web, online, online reservations, computers, porn, social networking)
It used to be that when one talks of being online one immediately thinks of airline reservations. This was the big application that validated a computerized online system. These days, one can book most anything from the Internet like, hotel reservations, enrolling in a school, buying things, shopping for anything. There is almost no limit to what one can do online. It used to be that books were the main thing you could buy online. Those days are gone. Everything is now available online, medicines, books, groceries, credit cards, online banking. One of the biggest successes of the Internet was selling of porn. When one talked of the Internet, one could not help but mention porn and how the Internet has made it so widely available. There is no more placing racy magazines in brown paper bags, one could just download materials in the privacy of one's home.

Come in and take a look at these sites: Bethel Guest House, The Blog Bum, XUHS, XU-AAA.

This has changed somewhat. Porn has slowly been replaced by social networking sites as the favorite destinations of a large number of Internet surfers. I guess after a while porn becomes boring and stale.

World Wide Web (Keywords: world wide web, irc chat, search engines, virtual resources)
Internet cafes sprang up like mushrooms and even though connections were slow, people still came and spent their time in front of the monitors keeping the Internet cafe owners happy. I wanted to learn but I did not know where to start. I knew there were vast resources out there but I had no clue how to get at those resources. Search engines were a cool way of finding out what was being published in the great unknown. Slow connections can make searches really boring and that is a real drag. Many people spent much of their time on IRC chat and that can really occupy one's time. Hours would just whiz by if one finds an engaging, faceless being to converse with.

Blogs are the way to go: Internet Scams, Philippine Websites, Philippine travel and tours, Activists Reunion.

MIRC is a very popular site for many people. ICQ was also very popular and Yahoo Pager.came along to offer free web chat. After a while, one finds the darker side of these chat rooms which can be seductive and scary. I suppose this is how it is when human beings gather.

Internet (Keywords: Internet, World Wide Web, modem, Ching's World, Cagayan de Oro City, Dumaguetet, Cebu City)
The Internet has changed people's lives in very dramatic ways. I watch the unrest in Myanmar (Burma) on television and am not surprised to learn that the world also sees the events unfolding there through the Internet. CNN was the pioneer of news television and made its world debut during the First Iraq War. This was a momentous event but today, the Internet performs a much more direct , up close and personal type of experience to the world.

I shall write about my observations on the Internet and the World Wide Web on these pages. I remember when having a modem was a really big deal. The problem involved having the capability to exchanged files between offices. So once, I had a modem installed to the serial port and it was a big problem to get the software to work. These days, the 300 bps modem has gone the way of  PC XT computers as more powerful models with router and firewall capabilities preview one after the other in a bid to become the standard.
